Overview
Everything here is generated from the game's own catalogs, so it is never out of date with the version you are playing. When a balance patch changes a number, these pages change with it.

Guides
Four long guides that cut across systems: your first week, which class to play, which pet answers your class, and what to do when something stops you.

The world of Varden
The continent, the three things buried under it, and why anybody goes into a hole in the ground on purpose.

Classes
All six, with passives, skills, stat priorities and ascension paths. One page each.

How combat works
Crit, dodge, armor, the three damage-over-time effects, stuns, healing and potions - with the real numbers.

Dungeons
Every dungeon, its recommended level, and what opens once you clear its final boss.

Pets
The five elements, one page each, plus the skill tree and star ranks.

Items and gear
Rarities, slots, affixes, sets and what the smith actually does.

What unlocks when
Which systems open at which level, and roughly when you get there.
Common questions
- Is Tales of Varden free?
- Yes. It runs in the browser with no download, and there is no paid tier that gates content. Diamonds shorten cooldowns and buy cosmetic and convenience items.
- Do I need to play at a specific time?
- No. Tavern contracts, dungeon runs, expeditions and patrols resolve on a timer or immediately. Cooldowns pace the day rather than demanding a session at a fixed hour.
- Does combat need fast reactions?
- No. A fight is resolved by the simulation from your build, gear, pet and potions. You watch the replay; you do not steer it. Skill lives in what you brought, not in how fast you click.
- Can I change class later?
- Not the class itself, but each class has ascension paths that redefine how it plays, and characters are cheap to make - most players end up with several.
- Is there PvP?
- Yes: an arena with leagues, plus guild wars and shared world bosses. All of it resolves through the same simulation as PvE, so a PvP build is a gear and stat decision.
